Alfred (Al) L’Eplattenier is running to be New Hampshire’s newest Congressman from the Second District. Al has been in love with Rindge and New Hampshire for the past 20 years. Like most of us Al has chosen to live here. A child of the depression, Al has worked hard all his life and his hands can attest to that. Due to the dark economic times of the 1930’s, Al and his brothers put their personal goals on hold in order to support the family. Just before WW II Al’s first adult job was with Republic Aviation as a tool and dye designer. Al was drafted in 1943 and served in the Army Air Corps for the duration of the war, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant. Right before Al was drafted he married Edna May Willis, whom he loved and remained married to for 64 years. During those 64 years they raised three children, all with college degrees. Edna and Al worked hard to personally build all of their four homes. Al would work his day jobs while building the homes at night and on the weekends. After the war, Al returned to the aviation field working for Republic Aviation and Grumman Aviation. This was followed by nine years working as a development Engineer for Mechlett Labs. Specializing in power vacuum tubes used in radio transmitters and radar. Al holds patents related to power tubes. The last 25 years of his working career Al and Edna owned and operated a small contracting company. At the end of the day the picture of Al is one of an honest man who is enthusiastic and a persevering hard worker, a model of the typical people living in New Hampshire. Alfred L’Eplattenier the candidate, is a change from the over educated attorney types that have the attitude “I know better than you, sit down and listen”. Al is tired of sitting and listening to the hot air rhetoric coming out of our capital. He wants to get up and express in the simplest straight forward terms what we as citizens of this country are concerned with and what we want done. |
